About Us
We are here to make an impact on the most pressing problem in history.
We know that achieving net-negative emissions requires both avoiding and removing billions of tons of CO2 every year. This enormous challenge must be tackled by developing innovative technological systems that can physically separate the CO2 molecules from other gases and deploying large-scale projects capable of doing so.
This is why we are here – to tackle this global-scale problem and to make a real impact while remaining economically viable and environmentally friendly.
RepAir has licensed revolutionary patents from Dr. Yushan Yan of the University of Delaware, propelling our mission to new heights. Our diverse team of world-class scientists, engineers, and technicians has amplified this groundbreaking research by sixfold, setting the stage for scaling carbon capture solutions to the gigaton level. As we ramp up manufacturing, systems, and project execution, RepAir is uniquely equipped to turn cutting-edge innovations into impactful, large-scale carbon removal. Our dedication to advancing this technology is central to achieving net-negative emissions and making a significant contribution to combating climate change.
Global Commercial Growth
Our team combines deep expertise in business strategy, technology, and operations to drive growth and innovation in carbon removal. With a strong R&D group specializing in battery technology and electrochemistry, we address key challenges in reducing energy consumption and scaling cost-effective carbon capture. It is imperative for both corporations and individuals to actively work towards minimizing or eradicating CO2 emissions. However, the current efforts fall short of the necessary scale and speed required to achieve Net Zero by 2050. Notably, certain industries, like aviation, face technological constraints that render emission reduction nearly impossible. To successfully attain the goal of Net Zero by 2050, it becomes essential to adopt innovative approaches. One promising method is the implementation of technologies like Direct Air Capture. By incorporating such alternative methods, we can effectively address the substantial "emissions gap" amounting to billions of tons annually. This strategic move is crucial for paving the way to Net Zero by 2050.
To reach Net Zero by 2050, billions of tons of CO₂ must be removed annually from the atmosphere. A tree can remove about 20 kg of CO₂ every year. It takes years to reach maturity and is hard to monitor and verify. In addition, trees take up a lot of arable lands, and when burned, they release all CO₂ back into the atmosphere. DAC solutions can reach the gigaton scale that is needed at a much shorter period than trees.
RepAir is leading the way toward a carbon-negative future with our highly effective carbon removal solution. Our technology excels at capturing CO2 from diverse sources, ranging from low-concentration atmospheric CO2 to higher concentrations from industrial processes.
Designed for both efficiency and modularity, our technology captures carbon dioxide using 70% less energy than conventional methods. The system is fully electric, using no heat and it operates without liquids, or solvents, producing no hazardous materials or waste. This ensures both safety and environmental sustainability.
The modular design allows for optimal scalability and adaptability, making it suitable for large-scale industrial applications and smaller, localized installations.
Our DAC solution is designed to become economically viable at scale. Our solution’s energy consumption is very low. This dramatically reduces the system’s operating expenses. In addition, our technology is very modular – it is based on identical electrochemical cells stacked in large numbers. Due to this modularity, capital costs will also be reduced at a large scale when cells are mass produced.
RepAir’s DAC system is entirely electric and operates without the need for external heat, minimizing utility requirements. This allows for global deployment in diverse geographical locations and across various storage and utilization facilities, enhancing its versatility and applicability.
The entire operation can be powered by renewable energy sources, ensuring sustainability and allowing for a quick response to energy supply intermittencies. This renewable energy integration not only reduces the carbon footprint of the DAC process itself but also supports broader efforts to transition to a cleaner energy grid.
